I was looking for a roasted broccoli recipe and I can’t believe I had forgotten about Do It Delicious’ Roasted Broccoli with Shallots and Garlic recipe! It is so easy and really, really delicious, I could eat it every week. I came across Jessica Seinfeld’s website Do It Delicious years ago when she did a tutorial for a fast and juicy herb grilled chicken. It was a simple video she did for a friend who didn’t know how to cook and it really was easy to follow and the chicken came out good (I have issues cooking a simple chicken breast). Jessica’s instructions are very clear with little fuss, and her website just resonated with me. I am so happy to have become reacquainted with her site! Continue reading
Whenever I come across recipe slideshows, usually guided by my MSN.com homepage at work, I always email myself the ones I find most appetizing, in hopes of trying them out one day. Last night I decided to try one of the new healthy recipes I found online on Delish.com’s 50 New Year’s Resolution Eats, Chicken with Caramelized Cauliflower and Green Olives. What initially caught my attention were the words caramelized cauliflower. I love both of them individually, so I was excited to see them together! Continue reading
Well this is exciting! My first post! Welcome, welcome. Please make yourself at home. Well, not that at home, we do use coasters in this household.
Anywho, let’s get started!
In an attempt to increase my fruit and vegetable consumption, I asked for a juicer for Christmas. It arrived this month and I used it for the first time today! So much fun! Initially I had been using a regular old blender, which does do the trick, although the juice comes out a little thicker.
Presenting, the Breville Juice Fountain Compact:
- 1 Delicious Red apple
- 3 handfulls of kale
- small piece of ginger
This was the first time that I purchased this chopped kale and I would not recommend it for a juicer. The juicer’s blade speed created a wind current so whenever I inserted the chopped kale pieces, they would fly out of the juicer. I am going to try this next time with full kale leaves.
The final product was delicious, much better than the results I get from a regular blender.
